TIS FleetCommand is a state of the arts Vehicle Tracking and Communications system consisting of both hardware and software to provide the most accurate and reliable vehicle tracking system ever available to the public. FleetCommand uses GPS to establish an accurate location and the Wireless Internet for reliable IP communications with the ATS server. The ATS server is located at the customer location and serves as a communications controller between ATS and all vehicles as well as all local and remote workstation users. FleetCommand has no limit on the number of vehicles that can be tracked or the number of workstation.
FleetCommand lets the customer determine all operating conditions including, how often each vehicle is required to report its location, establish speed limit violation reporting conditions, establish geographic zones and perimeters, establish landmarks and establish user login controls. You can get location updates as often as every 3 to 5 seconds at an accuracy of up to 10 feet.
FleetCommand saves all tracking data and events on the local server. This feature allows a playback of the tracking and event data for any specific vehicle or a group of vehicles. The playback data is retained permanently and indefinitely.
FleetCommand provides a number of report functions such as Active/Idle Time, Speed Limit Violations, Vehicle Log, Event Log and many more. In addition, unlimited reports can be prepared by the customer using common utility programs like Excel and Microsoft Access.
FleetCommand is a secure system. Others can't see the location of the vehicles because the vehicles can only report to the designated ATS server. All wireless data communications use 128 bit encryption. Local and remote workstations access is controlled by a logon and password.
FleetCommand is affordable. Since the customer owns the server, software and vehicle hardware, the only ongoing cost is a small fee from the Wireless Carriers like Cingular, Sprint or Verizon for use of their Wireless Internet data service. There are no monthly or annual service fees like you would have from a subscription service.
FleetCommand offers a number of optional attachments to the basic system including a low cost MDT (Mobile Data Terminal) for text communications with the vehicles and a DSC (Dual Sensor Controller) to monitor PTO, door access and other functions.
